Comparing Luxury- 2018 Acura RDX in Houston vs. Audi Q3
When two vehicles are touted as having “luxury” features, how do you choose between the two? Let us dive deeper and take a closer look at the 2018 Acura RDX in Houston compared to the 2018 Audi Q3. The Acura RDX stands out over the Audi Q3 because…
Better Safety Features
Safety comes first with any vehicle. Compared to the Audi Q3, the 2018 Acura RDX stands out because it has standard Active Head Restraints. This feature uses specifically designed headrests to protect both the driver and front passenger from whiplash. To do so, the headrests actually move with the head during a collision. The Audi Q3 does not have this feature. The Acura RDX also utilizes an optional cross-path warning system. The warning system uses a wide-angle camera to help the driver see vehicles coming from the rear sides. The Q3 does not have this feature either.
More Passenger and Cargo Space
More space means more comfort for you and your passengers. The Acura RDX has 1.7 inches more front headroom, 2 inches more front legroom, 2.9 inches more front shoulder room, .7 inches more rear headroom, 7.2 inches more rear legroom and 3.6 inches more rear shoulder room compared to the Audi Q3. With all that space, you would think you are sacrificing cargo room, except the Acura RDX has more cargo room than the Q3. The max width for the RDX is 49.8’’ compared to 41.4’’ on the Q3. On height, the RDX boasts a 32’’ cargo area compared to the 29.6’’ for the Q3.
The Acura RDX goes above the Audi Q3 by providing other features such as remote vehicle starting system, giving you the ability to turn the vehicle on and off before getting to the vehicle. The Q3 does not offer this feature. On the RDX Advance, it comes standard with air-conditioned seats to help keep both the driver and front passenger cool on hot days. Adaptive cruise control is offered on the RDX to help keep a consistent following distance when cruise control is activated. The Q3 does not offer any of these features.
With all of these features in mind, the 2018 Acura RDX in Houston stands above the 2018 Audi Q3. Want to know more about the Acura RDX? Come visit us at John Eagle Acura, your Houston Acura dealer, today!
