If you want a luxurious SUV in a smaller package, take a look at the 2018 Acura RDX in Houston.  Acura, known for its sense of style and luxury, put together the RDX, a compact luxury SUV that can compete with its competitors.  Even against the 2018 Lincoln MKC, you’ll see that the RDX wins out due to its…

Safety Features

The 2018 Acura MDX in Houston boasts an impressive array of safety features.  This includes a standard Active Head Restraints and an optional Collision Mitigating System.  Active Head Restraints are specially designed headrests that move forward in a collision, cradling your head.  This prevents whiplash from your head snapping back in a collision.  The Collision Mitigating Braking System utilizes forward mounted sensors to detect potential collisions.  In the event a potential collision is imminent, the system will alert the driver.  If the driver does not react, the system will apply the brakes, potentially avoiding the collision altogether.  The Lincoln MKC does not have this feature.

Large Passenger and Cargo Space

For a more comfortable ride, the 2018 Acura MDX has 5.6 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Lincoln MKC with 103.5 cubic feet on the RDX compared to 97.9 cubic feet on the MKC.  Overall, the RDX boasts 1.3 inches more front hip room, 2.7 inches more front shoulder room and 1.9 inches rear shoulder room than the MKC.  Even with all of the extra room for passengers, the RDX also has more cargo capacity than the MKC.  With the rear seat up the RDX has 26.1 cubic feet of cargo room compared to the MKC’s 25.2 cubic feet.  When folding the rear seat, the RDX still boasts an impressive cargo capacity with 76.9 cubic feet compared to the 53.1 cubic feet on the MKC.
