Starting to shop for a full-size SUV in the Katy area? Then you’ve probably come across both the 2019 Acura MDX and 2019 Honda Pilot. Both are recognized as excellent vehicles and have the latest in technology, interior features, and performance, but they’ve got their differences. That’s why we’re comparing the MDX vs Pilot to help you settle on right SUV for you.

Safety Features

The 2019 Honda Pilot comes standard with a rearview camera and optional blind-spot monitoring, as well as Honda Sensing, which includes driver assists like lane departure warning and a collision mitigation braking system. The 2019 Acura MDX also offers all those safety features found in the Honda Pilot, plus more.

What sets these SUVs apart is their safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The 2019 Acura MDX earned a Five-Star rating* in NHTSA frontal crash tests, while the 2019 Honda Pilot earned four stars in the same test.
